inmed was founded by a group of engineers with high technical background knowledge and many years of experience in the medical technology. In May 1987, inmed started its activities in the field of medical high tech equipment services. inmed is a modern and flexible service company, extensively specialized in service of medical equipment. The company offers a wide range of specialized knowledge in the support- and maintenance area and can look back to more then 22 years of experience in the sectors of installation, planning of installations and service of modern medical equipment.
In July 2000, inmed was excluded from the group of company founders and was taken over by Erik Rehn, one of the three original founders.
In April 2001, the branch office inmed Italy was founded. Starting from 01. May 2001, inmed Italy took over the intire service of all CT, MRI and X-ray equipment of SHIMADZU installed in Italy including the existing service staff.

Since 2003 inmed became more and more involved in complete turn-key projects for SIEMENS MRI, the end-user service on an on call basis or through a WEA (Warrenty Extention Agreement), as well as the rental of mobile MRI Systems. Currently there is a fleet of 2 mobile MRIs equipped with Harmonys.

In 2007 inmed decided to focus its activities mainly on SIEMENS MRI systems. Therefore inmed was looking for a partner for SIEMENS CT  and has found a professional partnership with the company medser. inmed and medser perform as a harmonic unity ever since in order to offer high technology service for SIEMENS MRI and CT.

In Juli 2009 inmed has transferred the entire operative business from the former location at 'Industrial Park Bürgel' to the recently established buidling at 'Industrial Park Waldhof', in Offenbach-Bieber.

Company Structure

Inmed was developed by a team of highly qualified engineers, who dedicated themselves to offer a wide range of service and support, which is a fundamental element in the charge of medical high-tech equipment..

This structure allows high flexibility in adaptation to new equipment, ambitious technologies, preventive maintenance programs (which are user independent from the manufacturer), hard- and software maintenance, training of users, etc.

Current fields of activity

The company is involved in the following technical fields:

• Service at SIEMENS MRI systems based on Numaris and Syngo software platforms, s.a Impact Expert 1.0T, Vision 1.5T, Harmony 1.0T, Sonata 1,5T and Symphony 1.5T located all over Europe, especially in Germany.
• Sales, installation and service of pre-owned SIEMENS MRI systems in Germany and Europe.
• Co-operation with veterinary surgeries in the field of computer tomography and MRI Systems.
• Rental and service of mobile MRI equipment.

References

Inmed has completed many MRI and CT installations all over Germany and in many European countries. More than 100 shielded enclosures have been installed mainly in Germany and Europe. MRI turnkey installations have been realized in Kazakhstan, Ukraine and Russia under Japanese human aid programs in cooperation with SHIMADZU. Currently Inmed maintains and services a large amount of MRI and CT systems in Germany and many CT and X-ray Systems in Italy.

Erik Rehn

Managing director inmed Meditintechnik GmbH and inmed Medizintechnik Italy

Mr. Rehn is an academically trained engineer (FH) – his career started 1976 as employee of SIEMENS AG Erlangen in the medical technology department. His area of responsibility has been the world wide installation of computer tomography systems of the manufacturing company Ohio Nuclear / Technicare. In 1980, Mr. Rehn changed to Technicare Wiesaden. Within this company he occupied a multitude of technical leadership positions in the field of medical technology service. In 1985, he has been moved to Spain in order to build up the service organisation for Technicare Spain for CT- and MRI equipment installed in Spain. In 1987, Mr. Rehn founded Inmed SA in Sevilla / Spain – the Spanish subsidiary of Inmed Medizintechnik GmbH. In 1990, Mr. Rehn moved back to Germany and acted in affiliation with Image Devices GmbH as managing director of Inmed Medizintechnik GmbH. As the managing director, Mr. Rehn had been responsible for the entire business of  inmed in Taunusstein since 1990.

In January 2000, inmed Medizintechnik was splitted out of the affiliation with Image Devices and had been re-founded under the same name in Offenbach by Mr. Rehn in May 2000. The whole operational business had been taken over from inmed Medizintechnik GmbH in Taunusstein. In 2003 inmed increased its business and its office space inside the Industrial Park Bürgel and experienced a further enlargement in Juli 2009 by moving the entire operating business into the recently refurbished building in the Industrial Park Waldhof in Offenbach-Bieber.
