Approx. 80% of ‘defective’ x-ray tubes must be exchanged due to tube arcing. Tube arcing is caused by electrical discharge caused by gas accumulation in of the insulation oil inside of the x-ray tube. Growing gas bubbles intensify the tendency to arcing more and more, until an x-ray tube must be exchanged. Used Varian x-ray tubes, can be regenerated by applying a special procedure to the insert of the x-ray tube, which evacuates the gas bubbles from the tube. Inmed sells these x-ray tubes, regenerated by this procedure for 50% of the sales price and grants 50% of the normal manufacturer warranty. A refurbishment of ‘customer’ x-ray tubes can be made under charging of an all-inclusive price. No warranty can be provided for ‘customer’ x-ray tubes. The refurbishment procedure takes approximately 1 week.
All systems delivered by inmed, completed final testing, clean up, repair and refurbishment as applicable. Covers and painted parts are painted and dried by a professional company specialized in paint jobs. Prior to the delivery all CT Systems have been completely installed, tested and calibrated in a special booth in our stock. All systems equipped with Varian x-ray tubes are fully refurbished preventively as per our refurbishment procedure. Herewith we provide a fully functional CT over a long time after reinstallation. |
